Choir

The St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Choir is a volunteer chorus of parishioners and non-parishioners who sing each Sunday at the 11 a.m. Mass, on Holy Days, and other special celebrations.  The choir strives to support the liturgy by singing the best repertoire in the Catholic music tradition – from Gregorian Chant through worthy examples of contemporary literature.   Members should have at least a rudimentary ability to read music and have a love of the repertoire that traditionally supports Catholic worship.  The choir rehearses each Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.   Anyone interested in becoming a member should contact the cathedral office at 318-445-1451.
